Confirm a permitted loading position at both properties before moving day. The distance between the truck and the entrance can affect the work even when the homes are close together.
Check the approach, not just the entrance
Photograph narrow turns, gates, slopes and posted height restrictions. Tell the mover about underground-only access or a street where stopping is restricted. Ask management where moving vehicles normally load and whether a reservation is needed.
Do not promise a parking space that belongs to another resident or assume temporary stopping is permitted. The provider needs a workable, authorized plan rather than an optimistic guess.
Prepare an arrival note
Send the map location, correct entrance, management contact and approved loading window in one message. A building can have several entrances with different names; identify the one the truck can actually use.
If access changes, update the mover before dispatch. A nearby backup position may involve a longer carry, so have the provider assess the impact rather than silently substituting it.
Should I stand in a space to hold it?
Use the building's approved reservation process. Do not obstruct traffic or other residents to create an informal loading bay.
Is a screenshot of the address enough?
Usually it needs supporting information: entrance photos, restrictions and a contact are useful where the route is ambiguous.
