For a one-room move, list what actually travels before choosing a service. A furnished studio with suitcases is a different job from a studio containing a bed, desk, shelving and a washing machine.

Sort the room into three groups

Identify your own belongings, items supplied with the property and things you will dispose of. Check the supplied-item inventory with the landlord rather than deciding by appearance. Photograph anything whose ownership is unclear.

Count boxed belongings and measure the largest items. Include the space under the bed, the balcony and overhead cupboards. Small rooms often hide more loose belongings than one doorway photograph suggests.

Prepare an access note

Give the mover the floor, elevator information, stairs and likely parking position at both addresses. Include a photo of the tightest turn. Ask whether your quote covers carrying into the room or only transport between loading points.

Before moving day, separate your overnight bag and keep a clear path to the door. Label boxes by destination area even if both homes have only one room: kitchen, desk and wardrobe labels still save unpacking time.

Is a studio automatically a small-truck job?

Not necessarily. Let the provider assess the inventory and item dimensions before selecting a vehicle.

What if I have no furniture?

Say so, but still give the number and approximate size of bags and boxes and any carrying restrictions.
