An officetel move needs an access plan as well as a moving booking. Ask the building's management office about the entrance, elevator and loading arrangements before finalizing the truck's arrival window.
Get instructions for both properties
Ask whether you need to reserve an elevator, use a service entrance or protect common-area floors. Confirm how a moving vehicle enters and where it can wait. Rules vary by building; a friend's experience elsewhere is not your building's permission.
Write down the management contact, approved time and any instructions the crew must follow. Send these to your moving contact in one message, preferably with entrance photographs.
Distinguish supplied equipment from your belongings
An officetel may have fitted appliances or furnishings. Check your actual inventory rather than assuming every appliance stays or every removable item belongs to you. Ask who handles faults discovered before loading begins.
Walk through the new unit before furniture enters. Photograph its condition and mark where your own large pieces should go. Keeping evidence of existing marks is easier when the floor is empty.
Can the mover reserve the elevator for me?
Ask. Unless responsibility is explicitly agreed, do not assume the booking includes building coordination.
Is underground parking suitable for the truck?
Provide the posted height and access restrictions to the mover. Do not estimate clearance from a passenger car's experience.
