Keep moving rubbish separated from the belongings that travel, and follow your local disposal instructions. Mixed bags of packaging, food and household items are harder to handle correctly at the end of a long moving day.

Set up collection groups before packing

Use clearly marked areas for belongings, reusable items, recyclables, ordinary rubbish and items requiring a separate disposal route. Confirm local guidance rather than assuming every type of plastic or large object belongs with normal recycling.

Busan's English waste guidance illustrates Korea's locally organized waste system, including designated bags and collection rules. Your own district and building are the relevant sources for the exact arrangements where you live.

Assign responsibility

Ask the mover what happens to packing materials it supplies and whether collection or removal is included. Ask the cleaner separately about waste generated by its work. Do not assume either provider takes away all household rubbish.

Leave time for the final cupboard and balcony check. Keep the last rubbish bag visibly separate from packed items so it is not delivered to the new home by mistake.

Can I use bags left over from another district?

Check with the local authority or building contact; do not assume acceptance across areas.

What about batteries or electronics?

Look up their specific local collection route instead of placing them in a general moving rubbish bag.
