Choose your moving service by the tasks you want to do yourself. Korean labels such as 포장이사, 반포장이사 and 일반이사 are useful starting points, but the written task list matters more than the label.
Translate the labels into responsibilities
Full-packing usually describes a broader packing service. Semi-packing divides tasks between you and the crew. Standard or general moving often expects more preparation by the customer. Providers can define the boundaries differently, so ask rather than relying on a translation.
| Task | Decision to confirm |
|---|---|
| Clothes and kitchenware | Who packs and supplies materials? |
| Large furniture | Who dismantles and protects it? |
| Delivery | Does the crew carry everything into rooms? |
| Unpacking | Are boxes opened, emptied or simply placed? |
Choose around your actual constraints
If you work until the evening before moving, a service requiring every drawer to be emptied may be unrealistic. If you have already packed and have little furniture, a larger packing package may not solve a remaining problem.
Create a personal “I will do this” checklist and send it with the quote request. Ask the provider to confirm the complementary crew tasks.
Does full-packing include throwing rubbish away?
Only if specifically agreed. Disposal, cleaning and technical installation should be discussed separately.
Can I change service type later?
Ask before booking about the change deadline and availability. A different packing scope may require different staffing and time.
