Check the official instructions for the district where you live before putting unwanted furniture outside. Collection methods, reporting and approved locations can differ; another city's process is not a nationwide rule.
Identify the disposal route first
List each item and describe its size or type. Consult your local government's waste guidance or ask the responsible district office and building manager which reporting route applies.
For example, Incheon's English guidance describes checking with the relevant local office and using the area's prescribed bulky-waste process. Use it as an example of local administration, not permission to apply the same method everywhere.
Coordinate disposal with moving
Arrange collection early enough that unwanted items do not accidentally enter the moving load. Confirm the permitted placement time and location. Keep any required confirmation or label with the correct item.
Tell the mover which items are for disposal and ask whether carrying them to the designated point is included. Removing furniture from a room and obtaining authorized waste collection are distinct responsibilities.
Can I leave a usable chair outside with a “free” sign?
Do not assume this is permitted. Arrange an agreed transfer or use the local disposal process.
Can I copy my friend's disposal fee?
No. Check the relevant district's current classification and process for your item rather than borrowing an unverified amount.
