Changing your home address can create an immigration reporting obligation. Check the requirement for your status promptly with Korea Immigration rather than assuming that your landlord, mover or utility provider completes it for you.

Check the rule that applies to you

The official Visa Navigator describes a 15-day residence-change reporting period for registered foreigners and a 14-day period for F-4 status holders. Because status and procedures matter, confirm the current requirement and accepted reporting route with Immigration before relying on a general checklist.

The Immigration Contact Center, 1345, provides multilingual administrative guidance. Tell the counselor your status, move-in date and accommodation arrangement, then ask which documents and filing route apply.

Prepare a reporting record

Keep your identity and residence documents, new address and evidence of accommodation available for the official enquiry. Ask whether your situation requires additional confirmation when you are not the named tenant. This is a preparation list, not a complete application-document requirement.

Save the submission confirmation or official record after reporting. Updating shopping delivery addresses is a separate task and does not demonstrate that an immigration report has been accepted.

Does a domestic mover file the report?

Do not assume so. Confirm completion through the relevant official channel.

What if I am already late or unsure of my status?

Contact 1345 promptly for case-specific instructions. This article does not determine penalties or immigration eligibility.
